Watumull Institute of Engineering and Technology, a premier technical Institute was established in 1981 by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, one of the oldest educational trusts of Mumbai offering quality education in various fields, ranging from arts, commerce, science, education, pharmacy, engineering, law, etc.

It began as an institute that offered Post Graduate three-year integrated engineering diploma. However, in 2002, considering the increasing demand for engineering courses it started a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) course . The institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) , and recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State.

The institute, which was earlier operational at Worli Sea Face was shifted to the sprawling campus at Ulhasnagar, hardly 50 meters from Ulhasnagar Railway Station (West) in September 2017. Watumull Institute is the only engineering college in Ulhasnagar and now brings experience and expertise to the central suburbs.

Since its establishment, the institute has produced excellent technocrats who have built Watumull Institute’s reputation in top notch industries in India and abroad. The Institute, which has created many rankers and crafted many careers, now caters to engineering aspirants from Thane to Karjat.

The institute lays huge emphasis on inculcating conceptual and analytical skills in students leading to deeper appreciation of technology. It believes in moulding students in such a form that they are able to contribute to the rapidly changing fields of modern technology through education, research and professional practices.

The challenge today is to keep abreast with the emerging trends in the field of technology. However, with the help of experienced faculty, sophisticated laboratories equipped with latest and necessary instruments and a library up-to-date with books, technical magazines and science journals, it no more remains a challenge for our institute.
